A Bedtime Bath Recipe + Hydration Tips
A perfect way to soothe a body before sleep. This young fellow made a great video of it all.
When I was a child, my mother added milk and salts to my bath water for a treat. The saturated fat in the bath is important, so remember not to use Canola oil.
1/2 liter of whole organic milk (or coconut milk)
Several tablespoons of homemade vinegar
Several tablespoons of Epsom salts
Electrolyte-rich liquid for drinking such as coconut water (no additives allowed) or a hydration mix with minerals
I can’t believe this young fellow made a video of it! I hadn’t thought about adding vinegar, but it’s a great idea that I will adopt.
If you filter your home water, consider using it to make bone broth or a fruit ferment—this helps restore minerals and prevents you from drinking depleted water.
Drinking straight filtered water is something that is relatively new because we all used to know thst it would deplete our bodies of minerals — that is clear from the science of water itself — but then the world forgot about this amidst all the hype. The filtered water seeks to rebalance itself.
This is why it is dangerously to filter water within your water pipes — the stripped water will leach out whatever the pipe contains such as plasticizers and lead.
For vinegar, I suggest making it from fruits at home, or simply letting your kombucha become vinegar. Bragg used to make a great apple cider vinegar, but they now use too many unhealthy shortcuts.
