For those of you who cook, a quick overview of this class will provide you with some chemistry terms to cover what you already know from cooking. If you do not cook, this is a good intro.

This is one of the most popular Harvard classes. When introduced, it was so popular that Harvard created a whole project around science and cooking. They do not focus on nutrient-dense, microbial active food, however, so I’ll have recommendations for that later.
Note that Montessori classes have always used cooking for science, even when everyone else was stuck on textbooks. Parents used to complain about this… Fortunately, times have changed!
For those of you with very young children, you can learn the chemistry to explain later. I don’t know how long these interesting freebies will be available.
