Materials Science: Dorodango with Autumn Leaves
... Mud boosts skin's antimicrobial barrier, too
Japanese dorodango, mud balls, are really the ideal hands-on project for children of all ages. You can see my first dorodango post here.
Children can experience the transformation from wet mud and dry leaves to a finished, hardened ball.
Btw, did you see that traditional healing muds in both the UK and Korea have turned out to possess rare compounds that protect against MRSA?
Happy autumn colors!
(For those of you in warmer climes, you can try colors from flower petals and minerals.)
