Happy 2024 to all of you!
I have done a new design for the teaching journal (the PDF is at the bottom of the post),
It is nice to add photos or sketches to the page below,
The following page is used whenever you make presentations. The key benefit of this notation is to help you hone your observational skills for teaching,
The following page is optional as we do NOT normally track daily activities. However, many new parents were anxious to keep track of work, so I added it for them. It is important to remember that we focus on the quality of the child’s focus on his or her work, their levels of interest in the work they pursue, and the degree to which they steer their own day.
Our goal is that children pursue their own interests during the day because you have created a good Montessori environment that facilitates this independence.
If you are teaching a group of children, daily notes can be useful to keep notes for your administration and PTA meetings.
If you are new to Montessori, here is my post that discusses the way we use our Teaching Journals. It includes a case study.
May the New Year bring you peace, love, and joy!
