A few people asked about extra reading material, so I wanted to share one of our Etsy listings for Reading Cards,

There are 100 pages in total. This is a very old Montessori language project — we used to write words and phrases on strips of paper for children to read, but it seemed nice to add photos for interest, especially when children are working alone. If you want to play a game, your children can cut a handful of phrases into strips. Then they can take turns withdrawing a slip of paper from a box, reading it aloud, and taking the corresponding picture from a pile. The sheets with words and pictures on them function as a control sheet, so no one has to guess the meaning of a photo because identifying the photo is not an objective.
