I like to create a collection of thoughtful writings for my language shelf, so I wanted to share this one with you,
One of my classroom collections is here on our Etsy shop,
And here is a quick preview,
We always have several of these collections on the language shelf, even in the infant and toddler rooms. For the youngest children, I print the material on heavy cardstock and place the pages in a box. Even the children who cannot yet walk will rummage about to request their favorite pages!
Did you see my Tyger gift post?
The Tyger
This is traditionally the most popular poem in the Children’s House for children from three to six years of age, but we also use it for the toddler classes. We use the original spelling of “tyger” to keep it as authentic as possible, plus it is a good introduction to the origin of English words.
